Kyma and XCROBUY TECHNOLOGIES

The product and the business

Kyma is the product name — the mobile app you download, the brand on the screen, and the name on your transaction receipts.

XCROBUY TECHNOLOGIES is the registered business that owns and operates it. It is the legal entity behind every agreement you enter into when you use Kyma: the party named in our Terms of Service, and the data controller under our Privacy Policy.

The two are not separate companies. Kyma is a product of XCROBUY TECHNOLOGIES, in the same way a shop sign differs from the name on the company registration behind the counter.

What Kyma does

Kyma sells mobile data, airtime and bill payments in Nigeria — MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile, plus cable TV and electricity. You fund a prepaid balance by bank transfer and spend it in the app.

Everyone in this market resells the same bundles through the same networks, so the only things worth competing on are speed, trust, and how little the app asks of you. That is the whole product thesis: type the number, pick a plan, hold to pay.

What Kyma is not

Kyma is not a bank. Your balance is prepaid credit for buying products in the app — not a deposit, not insured as a bank deposit would be, and it earns no interest. The full position is set out in clause 4 of the Terms.
