Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Kyma. Plain English, because you should be able to read it once and know where you stand.
Last updated 7 August 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and XCROBUY TECHNOLOGIES(“XCROBUY TECHNOLOGIES”, “we”, “us”), a business registered in Nigeria. Kyma is the mobile app and platform we operate — the product name, not a separate company.
By creating a Kyma account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Kyma.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.
2. Who can use Kyma
You must be at least 18, resident in Nigeria, and using a Nigerian phone number that belongs to you. You must use your own identity and your own money. One person, one account.
3. Your account and PINs
Your phone number identifies your account. Your six-digit login PIN signs you in, while your separate four-digit transaction PIN authorises payments. Keep both PINs to yourself. Kyma will never ask you to share either PIN by message or phone call.
Tell us immediately at support@kyma1.xyz if your phone is lost or you think someone else has either PIN, and we will freeze the account. You are responsible for activity on your account before you tell us.
4. Your wallet
Your Kyma balance is prepaid credit for buying products in the app. It is not a bank account and not a deposit. Kyma is not a bank. Your balance earns no interest, and it is not insured as a bank deposit would be.
You fund your wallet by transferring to the account we show you. Your balance updates once the transfer is confirmed. Your bank may charge you for the transfer; that charge is between you and your bank.
Kyma adds a processing charge to wallet funding. We show the wallet credit, processing charge and total transfer amount before you pay. The processing charge is at least ₦25, includes a 0.1% contingency and may be higher when needed to cover the payment provider's percentage and fixed charges. The final transfer total is rounded up to a whole naira. Only the wallet-credit amount is added to your Kyma balance.
Every change to your balance is recorded in a ledger we do not edit. If your balance and that ledger ever disagree, the ledger is what we treat as correct, and we will fix the difference in your favour where it is our error.
5. Getting the number right is your responsibility
Read this one. It is the single most common way people lose money on any app like ours.
When you buy, you tell us the destination — a phone number, a meter number or a smartcard number. We send exactly what you entered. Kyma shows you the number and asks you to confirm before it takes payment.
Once a network delivers a top-up, it cannot be reversed. Not by us, and not by the network. If you enter the wrong number and the purchase succeeds, the value has gone to that number and we cannot recover it or refund you. Please check the number before you confirm.
6. Prices
The price you see in the app before you confirm is the price you pay. It includes our margin. Prices come from the networks and change often, sometimes several times a day, so a price you saw yesterday may not be today's price. We are not bound by a price that was displayed in error.
Every electricity purchase includes a fixed ₦115 service fee. Before you confirm, we show the electricity value, the service fee and the total deducted from your Kyma wallet. If the purchase fails and is refunded, the full total — including the service fee — is returned to your wallet.
7. When something fails
- The purchase fails. Your money returns to your wallet automatically. You do not need to ask.
- We cannot tell yet whether it succeeded. We hold the amount and keep checking with the network rather than guessing. Once we know, we either confirm delivery or return the money. This normally settles within minutes and we will not leave it unresolved.
- It succeeded but the value has not appeared. Contact us with the transaction and we will take it up with the network. Delivery can be delayed on the network's side.
- You were charged twice for one action. Tell us. Our system is built to make a repeated request a no-op, but if a duplicate charge does occur we refund it.
Refunds go to your Kyma wallet, not to your bank, unless you close your account.
8. Unused funds
Your balance is yours. To get unspent funds back, email support@kyma1.xyz from your registered number and we will return them to a Nigerian bank account in your own name, after any checks we are required to make. We do not return funds to an account belonging to someone else.
9. What you must not do
- Use Kyma with money that is not lawfully yours, or to launder funds.
- Use someone else's identity, phone number or bank account.
- Attempt to exploit a pricing error, a duplicate credit or any other fault instead of reporting it.
- Attack, probe, reverse-engineer or automate against the app or our servers.
- Resell access to your account.
If we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering or a serious breach of these terms, we may suspend your account and hold your balance while we investigate, and we may report it where the law requires. We will tell you when we can, unless telling you would itself be unlawful.
10. Availability
Kyma depends on the mobile networks, our payment provider and our delivery partner. Any of them can be down. We aim to be available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may take the service down for maintenance.
11. Our responsibility, and its limits
We are responsible for delivering what you paid for, or returning your money. If we take your money and the product is not delivered, you get it back.
Beyond that, and to the extent Nigerian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — such as lost profit, lost business or lost data — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of the transaction it relates to.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@kyma1.xyz. Withdraw or spend your balance first.
We may close your account with reasonable notice, or immediately where clause 9 applies. If we close it, we return any balance you are entitled to.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Kyma after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Complaints
Email support@kyma1.xyz with your registered number and the transaction. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and resolve within five.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute.
